Broadway Chorus

Joining the Chorus

It's easy to join The Broadway Chorus: if you sing on-key, enjoy show tunes, can master simple choreography (given enough time), and love to have fun, you'll fit right in. You don't have to read music (though it helps, and if you want to learn the director will teach you in his spare time). We want people who love being on stage and approach each performance with boundless enthusiasm.

Auditions

Auditions are easy: we want to be sure you're on pitch and have sufficient range to handle the material. You can audition in private on an evening or weekend: essentially we just run through some scales, and look at some unfamiliar but delightful music together, so you don't have to prepare anything. To set something up, call Ashley at 822-6319 or e-mail him at ashley@oldadm.ubc.ca. There's no need to worry (it's nothing like American Idol, that's for sure!)

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a member of the Chorus are to make a concerted effort to attend all rehearsals, play nice with the other members, and above all, to have a great time singing! Membership dues are currently set at $35.00, payable at the start of the month, with a $5.00 monthly discount if paid in advance.
